All About Mrs. Wren

My name is Jamie Wren, and I grew up here in Baldwin County in the small town of Rosinton.  After moving to Georgia with my husband Justin, I soon graduated with my Bachelors degree in Business Management.  My first "real" job was working in human resources for a company in Georgia.  I quickly found out that my job would require volunteer work, and I chose to work as a volunteer for Junior Achievement.

Junior Achievement is an organization that utilizes community volunteers to teach students about finance, entrepreneurship, and the value of an individual's contribution to his community.  I was very nervous about my first lesson in that first grade classroom, but I went home that same day and told my husband that I was going back to school to be a teacher!  Although I had always wanted to teach, I had no idea I wanted to teach little kids!  I absolutely loved every minute in that classroom!

After moving back to Baldwin County to be near family, I began working on my Alternative Masters in Elementary Education.  I was lucky enough to become a student teacher in a second grade classroom here at Fairhope Elementary School in the fall of 2011.  I graduated that December with my Masters in Elementary Education.  My teaching career began here at FES in a third grade classroom in January of 2012.  I love teaching third grade, and I love Fairhope Elementary School!

My husband Justin and I currently live in Loxley, close to our families and where we grew up.  We have two daughters:  Abigail and Avery.  Abigail is in 4th grade at FIS, and Avery is in 2nd grade here at FES.  We love the outdoors and practically live outside during the summer.  I also love to read and watch Auburn Football! War Eagle!!
